Feracrylum is a topical agent having haemostatic, antimicrobial and hygroscopic activity

Adjunct to conventional haemostatic procedures in capillary and venuleoozing in varied surgical and diagnostic procedures. Dental extractions and oral surgeries.

CONTRAINDICATIONS : Epsilon aminocaproic acid intertares with the formation of
feracrylum albumin clot, hence, concomitant use of both is contra indicated.

:: COMPOSITION ::
Each ml solution contains:
Feracrylum 1% w/v

:: USAGES ::
  • To wash off the external wounds (abscess, laceration) and postoperation wound.
  • As an antiseptic solution for burn.

:: CONTRAINDICATIONS ::
Use of REPALUM is contraindicated along with aminocaproic acid, because aminocaproic acid interferes with the formation of feracrylum-albumin clot and reduces the pH of feracrylum resulting in chemical burns.

:: METHOD OF USE ::
OR
  1. Remove the cap of REPALUM solution bottle.
  2. Cut open the nozzle with a scissor or other on the marked or puncture it with a needle.
  3. Pour REPALUM solution directly on the wound then remove the excess solution with gauze.
  4. Pour the REPALUM solution I a sterile vessel, soak the sterile gauze pieces in the solution, then applied all over the wound’s surface and left for 1-3 minutes or until the bleeding has stopped.

:: WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS ::
  • REPALUM is not for parenteral use (IM/IV)
  • REPALUM is not for drink.
  • REPALUM is to be used without dilution.

:: ADVERSE REACTION ::
There has been no report yet regarding adverse events on application of REPALUM, both during and after the operation.
